From the Dolomites to Palermo

I will be in Santa Cristina and can get to Bressanone. My question is can I get from either of those places to Palermo in a single day. And if so, how? Thanks so much, Jayne

I suppose you could get a train to Venice, Bergamo or Milan, and then fly to Palermo.

See www.trenitalia.com for train times and www.skyscanner.net for flight possibilities.

It's a long shot from the Alps to a southern island. Fly is your quickest option as Nick suggested.

Dear Vagabonda,

I appreciate the interesting article on the history of the Italian trains, and I bookmarked the second webpage. This should be a fabulous trip. Many thanks for making it easier for me to plan it. Best, Jayne
