I have been to Milazzo and really enjoyed thing called Sagra. It is kind of 'food fest' (at least I see it this way). That one was connected with melanzane. Is it possible to see that kind of thing in september nerby Palermo (it is held rater in small villages)? I would love to see sagra arancine but any other types will satisfy me :D

1. Re: Sagra

Sagra are summer events held throughout italy. Main purpose us usually collecting money fir a no profit organisation (in fact waiters are all volunteers, no salary).

They're usually held outside of big cities, mainly in small villages.

It's a great choice to try traditional food for a cheap price in a really local experience.

Itry Google some "sagre settembre Palermo"
