From 13 minutes for 2.3 km according to Viamichelin.

Of course you won't be leaving from the Duomo, because all the streets immediately surrounding the Duomo are closed to cars, including taxis. There is a taxi rank near the Baptistery -- in the Via dei Pecori, but you cannot always count on there being any taxis there. The best way to get a taxi is by telephone. We use the company at 055 4242. But, of course, you can't tell them to pick you up "at the Duomo", because they can't drive there. You will have to give them a precise address they can drive to.

Perliza,

That timing for the trip you got from viamichelin was based on what time of the night?

I think it could take twice as long -- or even longer -- during the day -- when there's traffic.

Quite. That's why I said 'from'.

Another possibility is to walk to Firenze S. M Novella train station and take a Regional train to Campo di Marte. They only take five minutes but are not particularly frequent.
