Looking for nice, peaceful, florence apt in May for 3 days

Help, 3 women travelling to Florence in May for 3 days. Would like to be somewhat convenient to the main sites, but still in a peaceful accomodation. Prefer small apt to a hotel room. Also, any thoughts on getting to the airport for an early flight - short of an expensive taxi?

We have booked this for 5 days in September. Penthouse with elevator, lovely terrace and great view of the Duomo: holidayhomestuscany.com/florence-apartments and on the left side of the website, scroll down to Penthouse "Attica Duomo". It is very nice and quite central, but I have know idea what your budget is. Hope this helps.

These apartments are lovely, in a historical building in a corner of Piazza Signoria (you can't get more central), but are new inside and surprisingly quiet: http://palazzouguccioni.com/
