Florence with my 20/year old daughter on 150 Euros/Day?

I have a wonderful opportunity to travel From Munich to Italy to Paris with my daughter in May before she starts a summer study abroad in Paris. But I'm on a very tight budget.

Any thoughts on restaurants/accommodations/ special sites that would allow us to spend only about 150 Euros/day for food and lodging? I'm expecting to spend 3 nights in Venice, 3 in Florence then start making our way to Paris. I am a pretty experienced traveler, but haven't been to Italy since 1982!

We don't need fancy, but I'm not sure I could go back to the hostel thing...We'd want safe, interesting and even off the beaten path. Appreciate your thoughts!

Last November, I stayed at the Hotel Annalena in via Romana for 40 euro per night - that was for a single room.

Until recently, it was known as Pensione Annalena and it retains that "pensione" atmosphere which I really like.

I just helped my daughter find a hotel in Florence. The reviews on here are very good. It averaged $100 USD a night and includes free wifi and breakfast. It's called Hotel Perseo
