Another FirenzeCard Question

Since one has to pick up the FirenzeCard in Firenze, why should one buy it before arriving in Firenze? Isn't the line to pick up a card and the line to buy the card the same?

You might streamline the process a bit by purchasing online, taking care of some of the burocratic monkeyshines ahead of time. But the time you save is probably negligible so don't sweat it too much.

There are 9 sales points around town. The Firenze Card website lists 10 but the last one is a mystery. You won't find a huge crowd at any of them but try to avoid the one at the Uffizi (door #2) which can get crowded at certain times on certain days.
