Winery overnight stay

We are planning to have an extra day for a Chianti tour but we are thinking we would like to stay in a winery/villa - where we could get a nice room, beautiful view, cooking classes and tour - any suggestions? Thank you

The Mazzei family, who have been producing some of the nicest wines in Tuscany for just about 600 years, own the village of Fonterutoli, near Siena. They have turned the entire lovely hamlet into a hotel, with a restaurant, wine tastings, etc.

Badia a Coltibuono is amazing too.

Both wineries look amazing! Thanks for your input. I do have a few more questions.

If we take the train to Siena from Florence, could we get a taxi ride to the winery? Would it be a large expense?

It'll be easily up to 60 euro.

Can I get to the Mazzie or Badia a Coltibuono by bus from Florence?

If you'd like to stay in a place not too expansive with a taxi ride of about 40 euro, consider Cantine Barberani near Orvieto. They produce a large number of wine and if you'll try them all... can't go anywhere but to sleep.

Their Calcaia is stunning and has rare notes

Bamagal26, it is hard to answer you as usually these places are reached by private vehicle, but, you could get precise and unarguable info writing to those properties.

Another option even closer to Orvieto is Decugnano dei Barbi winery.
