Florence to Verona by car, where to stop for lunch

I will be traveling by car from Florence to Verona on a Saturday and I would love to stop somewhere along the way for lunch. There are so many towns to choose from -- any recommendations?

When you have to stop for lunch, there is no time for any tourist visit but only glimpsing.

if you look for glitzy restaurants, stop in Imola; if you love risotto get on the road earlier and stop in Isola della Scala.

If your itinerary takes you along the A13, there is an hidden trattoria i often read good articles;

Alla Rosa near Adria.

TA can give a big help amongst those locations.

Exit Modena Sud, drive for about 20 minutes to acetaia pedroni. One of the best balsamic vinegar producers who also has a very good restaurant.
