Luggage lockers at Pisa Centrale

Can anyone help me. We would like to travel from Rome to Pisa by train, stopping in Piza only for a few hours then onto Nice. What trains should we take and are there any lockers for luggage at the Pisa Centrale station?

Many thanks.

I'm interested in the same thing (luggage lockers). I will be flying into Pisa and leaving later that day by train to Florence and would like to see Pisa for the day so if there are lockers either at the airport or central station, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

For security reasons, there are no left luggage lockers at any railway station in Italy. However, Pisa Centrale station has a staffed left luggage office where you can leave your bags.

Train times and costs are at www.trenitalia.com but not very far ahead. The schedules do not change much, so use travel dates in the next few weeks for your planning.

one issue to consider, though, is that the Pisa station did not appear to have any escalators - so you will be hauling that luggage up and down steps

We were there last week. The left luggage office is not obvious. As you face the tracks, walk left further than you think you should and look for the sign in an alcove to your left. No sign out on the main platform. It is very secure--they make a copy of your passport ID page.

Does anyone know how much the luggage office charge?

When I was last in Pisa, two years ago, it was only 3 euro per suitcase, for 24 hours. Just remember to have your passport with you.
