Hoy to fit Pisa in my itinerary?

This June My husband and I will be traveling from Venice to Florence in an early morning train. Then we will be two nights in Pisa and then a tranfer to Rome.

We don't know how to plan a visit to Pisa. Here are our options:

1. Train Venice-Florence. Check hotel and go in a round trip to Pisa In the afternoon.

2. See some Florence first day, go half day to Pisa the second Day.

3. Stay in Florence the afternoon of day one and full second day. Check out hotel and take train or bus (with our bags) to Pisa. Then Pisa-Rome. Arrival hour??

I think option 3 is the best but... how I can do this? Do you know how much time I'll be consuming traveling from one site to other?

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Marian

You can take a return visit from Florence to Pisa by train www.trenitalia.it/homepage_en.html saving you carrying luggage.

Check train schedule upto 12 June, which should be similar to your dates.

Do you think I can make this round trip in an afternoon?

Maybe at 1:00 or 2:00 pm and return at, say 7:00 pm (not too late in night)?

We're just interested to see the Tower of Pisa and Baptistery.

I think you can easily do that in an afternoon if those are your only interest, they are a 20 or so minute walk or short bus ride from the train station.

I'd go with option 2 and do a return afternoon trip from Florence to Pisa - definitely the most relaxing option in my opinion.

I agree with the previous post. Option 2 is your best choice.
