Would we have enough time....?

Hi all. We'll be travelling from Santa Margherita to Rome July 31 by train. We could stop in Pisa, wondering if 3 1/2 hrs would be long enough to store bags at Pisa Centrale, walk up to see the leaning tower, have a bit of a wander about then back to catch the train on to Roma Termini? Thoughts and ideas appreciated- this is our first time to Italy.

It should be enough time. It is about 1.5 km from Pisa Centrale station to the Campo dei Miracoli.

If you come out of the train station, right oppisite is the bus stop, you can get the Lam Rossa bus, €1 to the tower, runs every 10 mins. each bus line has its colour, blue, red etc. the ticket can be bought at the tabac inside the station. It will save on the walk up. tickets valid for 60mins.

It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station to the Tower, etc.

Thank you- we'd likely walk but will keep the bus in mind should we run a bit shorter on time!
