You do n ot give much information to go on. How long are you there and have you a car or are you depending on public transport?

Nearby (3 miles) is the Romanesque (AD 1237) Peve di Cellole,

Colle di Val d'Elsa is about 7 miles away and has a Lower Town and an Upper Town (Colle Alta) with some good architecture. The town has been a noted centre for crystal glass since the mid 14th century.

Volterra lies some 25 miles or so to the southwest is a fine old town perched on the top of its hill with lots to see - Duomo, and still some remains of its Etruscan past. It is an oted centre for Alabster with lots of Alabaster vases, jars etc on sale.

East of San Gimgnano the town of Poggibonsi is about 15 miles or so away - it is substantially an industrial centre but the Gothic church of San Lucchese has frscoes by Bartolo di Fredi and is about a mile and a half south of the town. Whilst 5 miles out on the Siena road is the fortified medieval hamlet of Staggia
