Bus from Siena to Asissi?

We would like to take a bus from Siena to Asissi, instead of a train, which appears to take 4 hours and you have to go through Florence? Does anyone have up to date knowledge of this route? How long? Is there a direct bus? We are staying in an area where few speak English.

1. Re: Bus from Siena to Asissi?

There is one daily bus, not to Assisi itself, but to Santa Maria degli Angeli, in the plain below Assisi, where is the train station; from where you can take a city bus to the center of Assisi.

17,30 --> 19,15

In Siena, the bus is leaving from train station as well.

See autolinee.baltour.it/Home/455-1-en.html

then enter "Siena" and "S.Maria"
