Umbria with 8 month old baby

I'm starting to plan our first family holiday and looking at staying in either Umbria or Tuscany this June.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a place to be based? We'll be looking for some kind of self catering accommodation to give us more flexibility.

Previously, we have stayed for a holiday in Southern Tuscany (Sarteano), so have explored that part of Tuscany (up to Siena) and across to some parts of Umbria - Orvieto and Castiglione del Lago.

Thanks so much

Hi nbholiday

We've stayed a few times in Spoleto in a rental property with a pool just a short walk from the town centre - but the walk was up a steep hill! Having said that there were families there with small children who they either pushed in their buggies or carried in a baby back carrier, none of them said they found it difficult.

We rented from Umbrian holiday rentals and found them to be most helpful.
