Where can you rent a car in Assisi?

We will be staying outside of town and also want to take some day trips to other towns in the region. Want to be sure we can rent a car when we arrive by train in Assisi (from Venice via Florence).

You could take the train Florence to Perugia and rent a vehicle from there.

None of the major rental companies has an office in Assisi.

You could pick up a car at Piazzale Roma in Venice and drive to Assisi. It is about 250 miles, and you could drive it in a bit over 4 hours (plus stops).

Pick up a car in Perugia - its 26.5 km, 39 mins on the SS75 to Assisi..

Make sure you visit the village of Montefalco, - 31.7 km, 45 mins SS75 from Assisi. The town of Spello is gorgeous too.

You can now rent a car right in ASsisi at Amori Travel on Borgo Aretino, street running between Porta Nuova and Basilica di S. Chiara.

Reasonable rates.
