Which Train Station in Perugia

In looking at train schedules from Assisi, I see that there are 2 stops in Perugia: "Perugia Ponte S. Giovanni" and "Perugia".

Which stop is the main station if I wish to take a bus into the center of town ?

Thank you.

Have you looked into taking the Mini Metro into town?

the name of Perugia's main station is Perugia Fontivegge. Exit thestation and turn left, you will find the minimetro station, indeed it's much easier than the bus

Hello -

Please, can someone tell me is it okay to tote along wheeled luggage onto the Perugia mini metro after arriving in Perugia by train?

We will be arriving Perugia from the Firenze train with our luggage. And we will be destined to a hotel in the centro storico portion of Perugia near the Sant'Anna station.

Thanks for any info! :)

I can't see why it would be a problem. The mini metro is not "manned" in any way, you get your ticket at the machine and just board. They are obviously very small, but run pretty frequently. You may have to stand but I'm sure you will be fine with your luggage.

Thank you for the help!

Is there a website showing the stops of the mini-metro??

Can anyone tell me start and end times of when it operates?

Hi there - can I jump on this thread to ask about getting to Perugia please? We fly into Rome around 230 in the afternoon and then are trying to head straight to Perugia - by bus or by train?

I've been trying to find a recent bus timetable but so far am only getting one from a year or so ago via Sulga (?) busses...

Any thoughts/input would be appreciated!

Thanks
