Night Trains - double sleeper or 4-person couchette

We are taking a night train in Europe - Zurich to Budapest. There are 4 people in our group. We can do 2 double sleepers or a 4-person couchette. Is there a big difference in comfort between the two - especially in the bed comfort?

To better understand the difference (as for the bed and beyond) take a look at the chapter "Travelling overnight" in the webpage:

Assuming that your group will be the 4 people in the couchette, and that you are friends (!) it really comes down to price. I would personally prefer the 2 person sleeper - more space, better (and proper) beds. But if you want to save money then the couchette is fine. Just be sure to lock the doors in either case.

Thank you for the advice. We are going to try one of each (4-couchette and 2-sleeper). Get a taste of both.
