A "non-city" hotel in Lucerne

My family of 3 including a 2 year old toddler will be staying in Lucerne in the 1st week of May. We looked at some hotels but nearly all seem to be the regular hotels with a typical city feel. We are looking at a hotel that has a good country-side feel. Since we are travelling with a toddler, accessibility is very important. And yes, something that does not blow a hole in our pocket is welcome :)

We are staying at the above hotel in August. It is not non-city but if accessibility is very important it will not blow a hole in your pocket as other nearby hotels.

Hi Kit_rush

You can find more hotels in any price class on www.luzern.com (the official website of Lucerne tourism). There are more budget hotels like for example the Tourist Hotel which offers three bed rooms also.

If you prefer a hotel at the countryside look at Weggis, Vitznau etc. (also on the Lucerne website) or at Brunnen - www.brunnentourismus.ch - which has great budget hotels along the lake.

Brunnen is much smaller than Lucerne.

The Seehotel is slightly out of town or the hotel on Mt Pilatus or ones on Mr Rigi.
