Hello and welcome to Trip Advisor! A taxi would be very, very expensive - several hundred Swiss francs. You can go by train very easily as there is a station in the airport. You can get all the train timetables at the Swiss Rail website in English

www.sbb.ch/en

It requires 3 changes to get all the way up the mountain to Wengen but they are not difficult changes. In Bern you simply walk across the platform. In Interlaken you have to go over 2 platforms or so but you have enough time assuming you can move all of your luggage in one trip. The last change is in Lauterbrunned and that's a tiny place. You can ship most of your luggage. If you pack so that you can take a small bag each and send the rest, you can send it for 12 francs a bag to arrive the next day if you ship it before 9AM or the day after if later than 9AM. This can make it so easy to travel by train! Most of us here use this service and just take what we need for the first 24 or 48 hours with us.

I hope this helps.

and from the station in Wengen to the Regina it's a very short walk. If you have any luggage you would like carried then they will meet you and take it on an electric buggy.

If you want a more scenic route, take the train from Zurich Airport through Lucerne. The ride is about an hour longer but you are traveling through countryside, not cities. Also we find the transfer in Lucerne much easier - 15 minutes between trains, only 6 minutes in Bern. Both trains end up at Interlaken Ost. Be careful boarding the train to Lauterbrunnen. This train has two parts! The first half goes to Lauterbrunnen. The second half goes to Grindelwald. The cars are marked.

kileysmom, according to SBB website, one could have the baggage transported from one railway station to another for CHF22 under their 'Fast Baggage' service. Bags handed to them at Zurich before 9am could be collected at Wengen by 6.30pm same day. Would appreciate your advice whether this service is still available.

As far as I know, it is available. I use it regularly as do many of us here on TA and it's a very reliable service.
