shuttle transfers from zurich airport to st moritz

Hi, the 4 hr train journery from Zurich airport is too long for me. Private car transfer is also too expensive. Are there any shuttle bus companies or mini buses for sharing to get to St Moritz? Is there no fast and economical way for people to get there from the airport?

The Regional Airport, operated by Engadin Airport, lies in the heart of one of the most beautiful Alpine tourist regions. Located in the district of Samedan just 5 km from St. Moritz at a height of 1707 metres above sea level, it is the highest airport in Europe. http://www.engadin-airport.ch/

Have you ever flown into Vail/Eagle (EGE) county airport or Aspen (ASE) airport in a snowstorm? Have you ever tried to drive up to the Eisenhower tunnel or Vail Pass in a snowstorm? I have done both.

NO!!!!!!!

You will not find a more economical or reliable way to go from the Zürich airport to St. Moritz than by train. If you are only going round-trip to St. Moritz you could get the Swiss Transfer Ticket at the Zürich airport for 120 CHF in 2nd class. Information is at: mct.sbb.ch/mct/…swiss-transfer-ticket.htm

The distance from Zurich to St. Moritz is around 200 km, so driving by car probably wouldn't be faster. For details have a look at

You have to take into account that the area you are going to is in the mountains it is more than a drive or a simple rail journey it is a monument to how man has conquered the mountains by superb and inventive engineering.

If you drive you could still end up going by train by putting your car on the shuttle service of the Veriena Tunnel or if the weather is bad and the Julier and Albula passes are closed by loading your car on a flat bed wagon at Thusis.

The best way is to take the train sit back, relax and enjoy the incredible scenery you will have to change trains at Chur as the final part of the journey to St Moritz is narrow gauge.

I believe there is a small airport at Samedan (near St Moritz)which is used during the high season in St Moritz but it is likely to be expensive. The train journey is really good and you won't notice the time.

The train journey passes often too quickly. It is really a sightseeing trip. You could do one journey through the Albula tunnel (change in Chur) and the other trough the Vereina tunnel (change in Thusis), this gives a roundcourse with great mountain scenery. This are fast trains, a bus does not spend that much time less. With the new timetable (www.sbb.ch, also in English) it is not 4 hs anymore, just 3 1/2. Enjoy and relax.

Hi, if you are able to change your flight to i.e. Milan Linate airport, you could get a taxi transfer to St Moritz. (www.A-T-S.net) I am pretty sure that there are more transfer services from different airports; this is only one of them.
