Klein Matterhorn is the top station of the cable car from Trockener Steg. It is called so because it resembles the small version of the real Matterhorn.

If you want to go to the Matterhorn itself, you dont contact SBB but a mountaineering guide - provided you have a lot of experience climbing at very harsh conditions.

You can see the Matterhorn already from Zermatt. For the best view of the Matterhorn see this post. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g188098-i858-k6079594-Best_View_of_The_Matterhorn-Zermatt_Valais_Swiss_Alps.html

Klein Matterhorn is really great. Most of the time the trip goes via Schwarzsee, don't miss that stop. Additonally I would as well visit the Gornergrat. The experience is diffrent and as well unique.
