On holiday right now, have questions.

Hi All,

Arrived in lutry today and it is a beautiful little place. we spent 3 hrs just walking around the town and enjoying the beauty. The peculiar thing was it was extremely quiet, is it always like this? Restaurants are still closed and it is 6pm

Could someone suggest a lively spot in lausanne? We are thinking of heading there this evening.

Most of the towns along the lake aren't party central, although you might find Montreux a nice place to spend the evening. There are restaurants and people strolling around the lake front when the weather is pleasant.

Vevey is a little quieter, but the restaurants around the town square are usually a good bet in the evenings.

In Lausanne the "hot spot" is the Flon area. Take the Métro from the station (Gare CFF) to the Flon. Lots of bars, cafés, discos etc.
