Hi 210travellingman2014 and welcome on the Forum

If you mean you have two nights at Lucerne a Mt. Pilatus roundtrip - see www.pilatus.ch and Top Questions about Lucerne (TA Lucerne forum) would be one of the great options. But you would not climb it but take the gondolas and cable car on one side up and the cogwheel train and boat back the other side down.

You can find all Lucerne accommodation on www.luzern.com

If you think to go up Mt. Pilatus the same day you arrive from Rome it would be possible if you would arrive in the morning.

That's 8 hours travel each way to get to and from the bottom of Pilatus, staying in Switzerland just long enough to go up and down ?
