Driving from Zurich to Mt Titlis

Hi,

We are planning to drive from Zurich to Mt.Titlis, stopping at Lucerne along the way for a couple of hours next week. Can you please suggest an itinerary for the same. Also,is this do-able or should we just go with the best of Switzerland tour to Mt Titlis with a stop at Lucerne on the way?Which car companies/websites can we look at if we plan to drive?

Thanks,

Hi R K

You can do this trip by train. On www.sbb.ch/en input from Zurich to Kleindittlis and you will get all the information. This is a 2.40 H journey. There will be changes at Lucerne, Engelberg and Truebsee

Of course you can also drive to Engelberg and take the cable car from there. From Engelberg you will need to continue by cable cars (not possible to drive). Take the motorway from Zurich to Stans and from there the normal road to Engelberg. You would pass Lucerne for your stop there. At Lucerne I would park my car in one of the big parkings at the railway station. My preference is P3, pass in front of the station then turn right and there is the entrance.

Have a safe trip
