2 days in Zurich with kids

My husband and I will spend 2 days (29 aug-31 -aug) in Zurich with our children ages 5 & 10. Can you recommend any low cost hotels/ BNBs/ hostels that accept children? What do you recommend we do during our 2 days?

Hi 1GlobalEcho

There are a number of hotels in the central area that have "family rooms". Most of the hotels in Zurich are in older buildings and as such the rooms are not "standardised" - so many hotels have larger and different types of room - with some having family rooms.

Worth looking at would be the Adler, Hotel Bristol, + Leoneck. The Zurich Youth Hostel also has family rooms available.

Also worth considering would be small hotels with a mini-suite (again there are quite a few of the smaller ones that have this, and these rooms usually have a fold out sofa bed).

Finally I would also suggest to look at airbnb.com - although it is only 2 nights - you might find a nice apartment that would be useful as a base, especially if you are arriving after long travel - and Zurich is an easy city to navigate, so quite possible to get along without a concierge and hotel breakfast...

Hope this helps a bit.
