Short time train transfer time in Eindhoven

I have found a cheap one way ticket between Amsterdam and mannheim, germany(49 euro) on the hispeed.nl website. However, it includes 3 transfers and a 3 min transfer in Eindhoven (between track 1 and 2). Do you know if it is usually possible to take the next train if you miss a connection. There is a connection 2 hour later with the same route which I could take if missing the first one.

I'm pretty sure track 1 to track 2 is a cross-platform connection, so it is straight off one train onto the one next to it. You will probably spend one minute making the connection and two wondering why they couldn't have made it more efficient.

And yes, if the connection failed you would be able to take the next one.

Don't worry about missing your connection. Usually, if the train arriving at platform 1 has a short delay, the one at platform 2 will wait a few minutes (and the other way around). Eindhoven is an important railway hub for traveling to/from the south of The Netherlands and a lot of people depend on this connection!

Have a look on www.bahn.de

Because you can also take the ICE from Amsterdam to Duisburg, and change then to the ICE to Mannheim. So you have only one change instead of three, and the trains are faster (high speed)

Best take one train earlier to Eindhoven. Normally you will make the connection, but better be safe than sorry, as the trains in Germany probably run less often. The train to Eindhoven run every 30 minutes, and inside the Netherlands, your ticket is valid on any train on the route independent of the exact time.
