Photographer's delight in Netherland

Hi Guys

We are planning to visit Netherland but not sure about the best time to visit this beautiful country. Appreciate if someone can give us a good suggestions based on the following:

1. We are planning a 7 day trip. I know it is very less.

2. I am a photographer by heart and want to take some memorable landscape and nature photography. Please suggest some must-to-see places.

3. My wife has said "Amsterdam" is must. So I don't have any excuse.

4. We have a 3.5 years old girl.

5. Not into trekking or into museums.

I hope to see responses with some pictures or links to pictures that can give me an idea of the beauty around this country. Thanks in advance.

Not sure when you are planning on coming but April is a great time to get awesome photos of all the flower fields.

Personally I do not find Dutch nature that impressive but there are some nice areas to go to. You visit National Park de Hoge Veluwe, they have free bicycles for you to use and it's nice to ride around the forests etc.

Zuid Kennemerland National Park is nice too. You can spot some "wild" life and it's near the sea.

Zeeland -> Veere, Domburg (with its castle/youth Hostel Westhove), Middelberg, Zierikzee

If you will have a car, the duins are quite unique to the country, and the Zuid-Kennemerland Park might be of interest to you:

Some interesting spots:

- Drenthe: heather and dolmen

- Flevoland, a polder in a former sea

- North Holland

. Waterland, north of Amsterdam

. Callantsoog/Zijpe, tulips

- Veluwe, with drifting sand dunes nearby Kootwijk or Renderklippen nearby Epe with flowering heather

- Northwest Overijssel/Giethoorn, Dwarsgracht, lakes, polders and reed fields

- Limburg with the Dutch 'mountains'

- Zuid Holland, Kinderdijk with its mills and polders

happy travels

You have to go in mid April. Fields of tulips, with beautiful canals and windmills. You can't beat it. Go to Keukenhof as well.
