One of my faves is at the top canal end of the Waterlooplein flea market on the right hand corner. The market also has some clothing stalls as well.

Then there are several really good ones in The Nine Streets neighborhood. I still have a raggedy old fleece lined denim jacket I bought at Waterlooplein in 1990. Some good things never die.

Shop for secondhand items (or pre-owned, the current PC description). Each to his own, but I wouldn't spend $$$$$$$ travelling to Europe to buy cast offs.

Or search for Kringloopwinkel (recycling store)

Rataplan are a large social enterprise organisation with a number of shops. There was a large store on the Gereratorstraat near where I work but it seems there was a large fire and it won't open again until February 2018.

They do have two other stores on the outskirts https:/…

Plenty of stores around and you can get stuff at the Waterlooplein market
