Hi I've only been in the HRC a couple of times but they are the same everywhere. OK if you like that sort of thing but I always think of them as some kind of upscale MacD's.

Amsterdam is so much more about individual bars and cafe's and I really have to say that most locals would avoid the place. There's nothing wrong with it just IMO why come to Amsterdam and go there.

If you want a list of somewhere special to go for your anniverary then take a look through this thread for some of the best restaurants in Amsterdam.

Sorry you will have to reconstitute it as it would not let me past it all as one.

Happy Anniversary, which one is it btw?

We do pretty much the same with HRC's,we've visited them wherever we can,I have to say though that the one in Amsterdam is the only one where we have been disapointed with the food, maybe just an off day.

I've been there a few times and the food was good--large burgers and sandwiches and cold beer--vondelpark is across the street and there is an outdoor chess game that is fun to watch right in the courtyard of hardrock--gary

We're all wondering why would anyone go to a "big box chain bar" and not to the local places.;[[;]
