2 Day tour in Amsterdam advise on itinerary

Hi,

I am looking for advise on my itinirary for a 2 day trip to Amsterdam.

I will be reaching there on 2nd April at 11:00AM and traveling with my wife and son (2 years).

I have booked Ibis City west for the night, and on 3rd evening I have my train back to Bremen.

We are planning to spend first day at Tulip Garden.

Please advise on:

- What are the must see places in Amsterdam

- how to travel to Tulip Garden from Amsterdam Centraal station

- is it advisable to buy some kind of pass for local travel in Amsterdam or buying individual tickets would be cheaper.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Amir

Some palces that should be in your list:

- Albert Cuyp - don't miss the french fries and the stroopwafel

- Anne Frank Museum - it's also an excuse to go to the Pancake Bakery which is quite close to it.

- Vondelpark

- Canal cruise - I've chose the Blue Boat Company - 12 euros for adult for 75' - of couse, there are lots of options.

- Red Light District

- Museumplain - specially Van Goh Museum

For transport, in my opinion, the best option is the strippenkaard.

Cheap food - Febo and Wok to Wok

i can't remember, but i think you can't buy a single ticket - or maybe it is a ridiculous price for just one...something like that.

buy the strippenkaarten (spelling?) and look at the map or ask the hotel which tram line to take and for how many tops

obviously you must visit the red light district at night. and the anne frank huis is a must see. i like dam square, and just walking along the canals looking at the tilting building is a nice way to spend a couple hours.
