Do we need reservations in advance for the canal boat tours?

Do we need to make reservations before we go for any of the major boat tour operators, or can we just get tickets the day of? We will be in Amsterdam on Sunday, October 2-Tuesday October 4.

Hi there

You can just buy the tickets on the spot, no need to make reservations

If you go to one of the operators on Damrak you'll find that they are quite a bit cheaper than those directly in front of CS. Last time I looked Lovers and TUI just outside CS were charging 13 euro and Rederij Plas on Damrak (about 200m away) were charging 8.50 for what was basically the same one hour cruise.

Reederij P. Kooij also have canal boat tours departing from Rokin, which is the street running south from Dam square. €9 per person.

Only ones you may need advance reservations for is if you're planning on taking one of the specialty cruises such as a dinner or pizza cruise. Also, I believe the small boat tours arranged through BoomChicago require advance reservations.

yes, st nicks boat club is free..but a "donation" is appreciated. you have to sign up in advance..and it looks like the reservations are taken at mikes bikes instead of boom chicago now..

No you don't need reservations in advance for the canal boat tours until and unless you need special services on it.
