Hotel Toren or Ambassade

Both hotels look lovely and have canal view rooms available. Which is better located to get to museums and other major sites either by walking or public transportation?

Ambassade hotel is slightly closer to the big museums such as Rijksmuseum (15 min. walk) and Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum. And close to the flower market.

The Toren is just a stone's throw from Anne Frank House. And only 24 minutes walk to Rijksmuseum... so the difference is only 9 minutes.

They are both quite close together so I'd pick the one with the best reviews and the price you can afford.

Both are in the beautiful canal belt and very close to the equally beautiful Jordaan area. Ambassade is a bit closer to Vondelpark and Leidseplein (nightlife). The Toren is closer to Noordermarkt (Sat full day & Mon morning) and Haarlemmerstraat/ Haarlemmerdijk streets with quaint shops and cafes.

But the 9-10 minute walking distance difference could be considered negligable.

You can calculate walking times in Google Maps by using 'Get directions' and the walking person symbol.

The Ambassade Hotel is a little bit more central. A little bit!
