We are planning to visit Haarlem and I've been trying to work out the best combination of tickets available and it's all getting confusing.
We are staying near the 197 bus stop at Leidseplein so we will take the bus to the Schiphol and then the 858 to Keukenhof. After that its a 15-min walk to Lisse to get the 50 bus to Haarlem. I hope there are signs that point in which direction to walk. I've got the map from the http://9292.nl website but it would be reassuring we are not going somewhere completely wrong in 15 mins. If I get the combi ticket for Keukenhof (€23), all buses up this point are covered.
Then to return from Haarlem to Leidseplein, the http://9292.nl website gives the train option to Amsterdam and then trams/walk etc back. However, there is a Bus 80 to Marnixstraat. Why does it not come up as an option? How much would it cost? Given this extra bus/train ride, should I consider getting the Amsterdam Region pass for the day instead and just getting the ticket to Keukenhof on its own?
