I am planning on visiting Amsterdam for a day trip from Paris at the end of November. I will be taking the earliest train to Amsterdam (we depart at 6:30am and arrive in Amsterdam at 9:45am). I am deciding if I should take the 6 or 7pm train back to Paris. Could someone help me with my itinerary? I think that will be a good indicator on which train I should take to head back to France.
I know I don't have much time in Amsterdam and a lot of people will frown on this day trip but I'm not sure when I will be back in Amsterdam again. I definitely am not going to rush things and will tackle 1 or 2 major things. Here goes!
Amsterdam Centraal Station --> Anne Frank House (2 hours)
Lunch at an open air market near the Anne Frank House or near Dam Square (1 hour)
Explore Jordaan Neighborhood (shopping, get snacks) (1 hour)
Canal Boat Tour (1.5 hours)
Walk around the Red Light District (1 hour)
Amsterdam Centraal Station --> Paris
I am open to moving things around as well! Nothing is finalized and I still have to get my Thalys ticket. Thanks in advance!
