Amsterdam -distances and prices for transportation

Hello friends!

I arrive in Amsterdam on the 14th all the way from Panama, Panama.

My questions:

1.From Schiphol Aiport to a hotel like (for ex.) GOLDEN TULIP ,or NH CITY CENTRE, how much time will it take me? Do I get a cab , or is it too expensive or far? What would be the best way to get to where the hotels are?

2. The next morning I have to catch a plane from one of these hotels back to the Schiphol airport to go to Nice, France, very early , plane leaves at 6:30, so Id have to be there at 4 a.m. In case the hotel doesnt provide transportation from/to the airport, SAME question goes here: WHats the average distance from hotels to airport? What would be a cab fare?

Thanks!!

By the way, once in Amsterdam , for a whole day, what would you suggest ?

Ive been told about Bruges, is it worth it? Or is it better to stay around DOWNTOWn in coffee shops? something else to see? ride a bike around? How about the nightlife?? Any good clubs?

Thanks friends!

Use trains between the airport and the center. 17 minute ride. There are night trains too. Use the link I gave you in the other post and put your hotel's address in.

A taxi all the way from the airport would be muh more expensive.

On that second morning I guess you need to walk or take a taxi to the train station.

As for what to do with one day in Amsterdam: definitely *not* go to Bruges which is 4 hours travel time one-way!!

Look here for itinerary suggestions for one day: iamsterdam.com/en-GB/…24-hours

Visiting a medieval town or smoking your head off are very different things so I can't really tell what your likes and dislikes are... The links should be helpful.

Have fun,

P.S. "How about the nightlife?? Any good clubs?"

> depends on which night you are here and what type of music and atmosphere you are into, but have a look at this: iamsterdam.com/en-GB/Experience/What%20to%20…
