Cheap places to eat near Grand Place?

We are looking for authentic places to eat near Grand Place (or in the area). We are open to street vendors, or a sit-down restaurant. We are just traveling on a budget and are looking for an affordable place to eat!

what do you deem as being "affordable" ?

there is a place between St. Catherine and the Bourse called Le Fin de Siecle that has very good "local" food for a decent price. It's a locals well known favourite. there is no sign but its on Rue de Chartreux and just ask anyone they can point you to it. I would avoid all the places in Grand Place they are very touristy. There are some good lebanese places off of Grand Place, also for decent prices. Otherwise try up near the universities - they have student specials on pizza and pasta dishes and some of the places serve up good food!

If you walk about 1 block from the Grand' Place on the street that leads to the Mannekin Pis (rue Charles Buls) and turn left after Dandoy and just before the Amigo Hotel, you will find yourself in rue du Marché aux Fromages, known locally as "pitta street", which is lined on both sides with cheap and cheerful Turkish, Greek and Moroccan places.
