Christmas in Brussels

My husband and I are thinking of spending Christmas in Brussels this year, and also celebrating our aniversary. We plan to spend 5 nights (22 to 27 Dec) and want to visit the Christmas market, go to Bruges and maybe even Antwerp for day trips. Any advice about what Brussels and these other places are like for Christmas? Will most shops, restaurants be closed, or will we be able to see most of teh attractions? Thanks

All shops and restaurants will be open. Do not worry.

Christmas market in Brussels is a lovely place to visit - it is a continuing market between the Grand-Place and the old fish market. Bruges is of course the loveliest place in Belgium to visit. It is easy to go there by train (and between railway station and the center of Bruges, you have only 10 minutes walking)

And of course, if you have the chance to have snow, you'll be the luckiest people.

Have a nice stay in Belgium !

Great for a winter vacation. Great restaurants, antiquing and museums.
