Brussels Midi Station to Grand Place

If we would be coming in on a train from Paris to Brussels Midi and need to get to Grand Place to catch a tour would it be very expensive to catch a taxi to get from one place to the other?

How long should it take?

Just take any northbound train one stop to Central Station. I presume you will be on the Thalys so you will not have to buy another ticket.

Once you come out of the main station exit cross the road and follow the signs down the hill for the Grand Place. 5 min or less walk.

Taxi from Midi will be 12 Euros or so

yes we will be on Thalys

Will it take a lot of time to transfer to a northbound train to Central station?

After we are done touring can we go to the Central Station and catch a train to Bruge?

From South to Central station you can either take a metro, another local train for 1 stop or a taxi. Ipersonally prefer to take a taxi to avoid dragging my luggage around & up-down the station but you can perfectly do it by metro, train also. From central station you can take your train to Bruges, that's what most tourists do actually.

thank you

When returning to Paris from Bruge I know I will have to change trains in Brussels.

Would that be at the Central or Midi Station?

There is no direct metro between Midi and Central Station, so drop that one.

You need to change trains at Midi Station to get back to Paris while coming from Brugge.
