Christmas Markets

Which town has the better Christmas market out of Bruges or Ghent or are they both worth visiting?

Is it possible to vsit both these towns, and their Christmas markets, in one day?

How far from the city centre is the train station from both these towns?

I don't think either is worth going out of your way for, neither are very big. But why don't you look at reviews already on tripadvisor? http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g188671-d208943-Reviews-Brugge_Christmas_Market-Bruges_West_Flanders.html; tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g188666-i1463-k3…

It takes 30 minutes on the fastest trains (IC) between the 2 cities and then the station in Brugge is about 15 mins walk from the centre (or you can take a bus), while in Ghent you will need to take a tram, no. 1 direction Evergem, which will then take 10-15 mins, getting off at Korenmarkt.

Both cities are more than worth a visit on their own merits. Please do not base your visit on xmas markets.
