If you don't have large suitcases, it wouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to walk, which would obviously be the cheapest way, while a taxi would be the easiest if you do. You can also take any of the many buses that go from the station to Markt/Burg and it's only a few minutes walk from there. For map, see http://www.brujas.be/hotel-acacia-bruges_routemap.asp?taal=uk; the station is marked by a blue train sign below N397.

I agree, walking is not far but you need to know that the streets are cobbled so even if you have luggage on wheels it would be difficult, rucksacks would be ideal if you want to walk. It is a nice walk through the centre and you could stop on route for coffe or 'chocolate'.

Hello,

Go to

http://foto.brugge.be/dl/downloads.htm

to download a free map of the city. Your hotel is located in Korte Zilverstraat, number 3.

It's roughly 20 minutes walking from the railway station or 5 minutes if you catch one of the local buses in front of the railway station.

If you go walking:

* you start by crossing the street in front of the railway station

* turn left, you'll walk through the park

* at the end of the park you'll walk past the big orange Concertbuilding (you can see the building while you're crossing the street in front of the railway station)

* after the Concertbuilding there is a large square, called 't Zand. Take the second street on the rightcalled Noordzandstraat (this is one of the main shopping streets)

* after 5 min. walking you'll get to some sort of crossing, turn in to St. Amandstraat on your right. Via this street you can go to Korte Zilverstraat where you'll find your hotel.

If you take a bus:

* you can catch all of the buses in front of the railway station that have CENTRUM written on top of the bus. All these buses go to the Market square (Markt).

* the Market square is the third busstop (1 = Concertbuilding | 2 = cathedral in the shopping street | 3 = Market square) from the railway station

* you can buy your tickets inside the ticket shop in front of the railway station or inside the bus (cheaper if you buy it in the shop!)

* once you get of at the Market square try to find St. Amandstraat again..it will be the street right across the bus stop on the Market square.

Taxis can be found in front of the railway station, next to the buses. Price will be between € 5,00 and € 10,00.

I hope you'll find this info usefull.

Kind regards,

Sabrina
