Any flight from Portugal to Greece?

Hi travelers

I'm planning a trip To Spain , Portugal & Greece this year. I will be flying to Madrid and from there travel to Portugal, then travel to athen . I tried to check for the flights available from Portugal to Greece but seem to find a direct flight to Greece without transit in Madrid.

Any advice on the budget airlines that fly from Portugal to Greece? Or should I change my route?

Thanks

There are no direct flights by low-cost or regular airlines from any airport in Portugal to Greece at present.

In terms of low-cost, your best bet might be vueling.com via Barcelona.

Getting from Portugal to Greece and other Eastern Mediterranean Destinations can be a problem. My wife had to fly via London last year when going to Thessaloniki.

Give my regards to the Merlion and Mustafas!! :)))

Easyjet low cost airline has flights from all 3 airports in Portugal to Geneva.

From there you can take Aegean Airlines (also low cost) to Greece.

AVOID Geneva Airport like the plague!

I go there every year in late January!

The check-in area is small as is the airside shopping area.

Easyjet check-in is a small area and congested and the lines at security make Faro and Lisbon look like child's play.

For a big international airport, it is really uncomfortable.

TAP to Greece via Madrid will be a code-share. You will have change airlines in Madrid.

What do you mean by code-share? But Will it be a better choice ?

Well since I will be in Portugal for a short 4 days, where do you recommend it's a must -see places?

Hi,

I would do the opposite, start in Portugal and finish in Spain. Even from Spain there are not all that many flights to Greece but you will be able to find a direct one from Madrid at least.

Code-Share...

See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codeshare_agreement

Basically, its just two airlines linking together to provide a route.

if you are in Portugal only for 4 days you are probably best to stick to the Lisbon and Sintra/Obidos areas.

But my ticket is booked to Madrid.

Hmm... I wanted to visit the church in Fatima before heading to Greece... But seem like I will be spending most of the time on traveling... But I have allocated 16days for the trip... It should be sufficient for the 3 countries?! Or should i forgo Greece?
