Hippy market? This ain't 1968 man. There is or was a 'Head Shop' in Avenida da Liberdade in the old town if that's what is meant.

Weather today 30C, weekend 25C, next week 35C next month, who knows? Average 33C and it doesn't rain.

Maybe you mean the gypsy market. It is on the first and third Tuesday of every month in Albufeira, next to the bus station. If you miss that, there is one every Wednesday in Quarteira and every Saturday in Loule.

If it's the gypsy market Cubsur is right - it ain't hippy man! last time we went it was more like a jumble sale in some aspects and people wandering around offering all sorts of deals on the side. Hear tell of someone buying a brick in a bag from one of the itinerant wandering traders! May be some good deals but certainly didn't see any. An experience!

Not my scene!

The big outdoor markets are strictly for tourists. I geeve you special price! Everything 3 Euros!! Most of the stuff is cheaper in the Chinese shops in town.
