Well I bought a pack there a couple of weeks ago. It was stamped. The 65 price is advertised in pounds. I paid 75 Euros.

Never been stopped at Faro or Blackpool our local airport and used them both dozens of times. Are you Washington USA or Tyne & Wear. Maybe they check yanks more than Brits. I do know that I saw a shocking sight a couple of trips ago where just the Blacks from our plane were being pulled to one side for extra security checks by a Portugese officer. It made me feel quite sick

All Tobacco & Cigarettes are STAMPED Tax & Duty Payed, The 65 marked price is POUNDS STERLING

H:M: Customs & Services .

Arrivals from EU countries (such as Portugal)

When arriving from an EU country you can bring in an unlimited amount of most goods.

For excise goods such as alcohol and tobacco, there are no restrictions.

However you must meet the conditions below:

You transport the goods yourself.

The goods are for your own use or as a gift. If the person you give the goods to pays you in any way - including reimbursing you for any expenses or payment in kind - then it's not a gift.

The goods are duty and tax paid in the EU country where they were acquired.

I think the restrictions are from the past, we bring home hundreds of pouches of bacca every trip (for our own use of course ) At Blackpool airport there is a notice on the walls saying you`r not allowed to take more than £1000 out of the country ???????? come on, get real, whats £1000 nowadays ?
