This link will bring up the street on Google maps

http://maps.google.pt/maps?q=Rua+Dr+Alberto+Iria,+Lagos&hl=pt-PT&sll=39.639538,-7.849731&sspn=9.438293,21.51123&vpsrc=0&t=h&z=16

It's to the south of the town centre, not far from the Fire Station (Bombeiros)

thank you, cubsur

Unfortunately the link isn.t live and won't show up when I paste it into google.

Please could you give me the A22 exit number and a rough idea of where to head from there. Never been to the Algarve before and so far haven't found a good online Lagos street map.

Link works fine when I paste it into Internet Explorer--you'll have to zoom out a bit to get back to where to get off the A22.

I have re-checked link and it is working fine. I am using Firefox.browser.

The A22 ends at Lagos, so no exit number to worry about!

how odd......link works fine in IE but not in google search.

thanks for your help Bear & cubsur.

Simply Lagos is a great site; best maps, best driving instructions from the airport, best walks; Brilliant info for first-time visitors.

thanks to this forum for loads of info read in the threads.

6. Re: In need of route plan for Lagos streets.

still a bit uneasy about my route through Lagos.

can someone please advise me which route would be easiest to negotiate; exiting the A22 at Faro and driving all the way round the town to reach the south west or exiting at Lagos Este exit 1, arriving at the sailboat roundabout >> Av dos Descobrimentos >>Av das Commidades Portuguesas >> 1st left into Estr de Ponta das Piedade 2nd right into the little streets around R Dr Alberto Iria. Are there any one-way systems in either route? Is the marina area bound to be very busy late at night?

what do you suggest pl?

ok its quite simple

exit N120 at the roundabout turn left N125 towards lagos (dont take the locals road small one) or the road to luz/sagres

next small roundabout straight on

just follow this road, you will know by the large supermarket on your right , school on left as you approach traffic light.

just follow this road until you come to roundabout with a large black ball in the centre.

turn right at this roundabout.

next roundabout (chinese on left , triangulo restaurant opp) straight on.

follow the road round the bend and take your first left and first left again .

arrived

because your not familiar it will take 1hour 30 mins.

when you get out of the car ... go back to the bend there is a bar where you will be able to get a pint of guiness or magners
