There is a monster shopping mall next to the Oriente railway station if that's what you are after!

Great mall as listed above and central Lisbon is worth a browse for well known stores and small interesting shops. Plenty to see and and prices very cheap compared to the UK. Always come back with an extra caseful!

Shopping, well

You have got plenty of choice:

Colombo Shopping centre, the biggest in the iberian peninsula, its on the blue line on the tube.(colegio militar/luz)stop.

Vasco da gama shopping centre, great mall, situated on the red line on the tube( Oriente stop) worth a visit.

El Corte Ingles, great shopping mall, sort of debenhams or house of fraser, open style( S. Sebastiao stop) Blue Line.

Chiado area, Rua Augusta, Lisbon's "oxford street" packed with shops and restaurants, or next to the Chiado Armazens, another shopping centre, smaller than the other ones, right in city centre,

The list can go and go, it just depends of which area u staying.

Amoreiras shopping centre, olivais shopping centre, Alvalade Shopping, and more and more. just let us know of which area u are staying.

Good half day out. IKEA have a place in Lisbon too if its of any interest.Besides the shopping Lisbon is beautiful and there is lots to do.

All the other posts are correct! :)

But you also have Avenida da Liberdade, in the center of Lisbon. All very nice, fashion and expensive stores (designer clothes, etc). But it's a nice place to go around.

If you only going for 2 days, it would be a waste

of valuable time to go out as far as Freeport.

Only do Freeport after you have done the rest of

the shopping which are excellent and this on your

second or third trip.

Some of the most interesting shopping is in the Bairro Alto if you are looking for little shops with clothes and jewellery by young designers, or in the Chaido along Rua Garrett and then down into the Baixa, where there is a Springfield and a Zara mixed in with local non-chain stores....

This would be my recommendation, as you will get to see and experience the beautiful inner city of Lisbon, rather than going off to a shopping centre in the outskirts (which won't be much different from what you have in Dublin or anywhere else in the world)...
