Public Transit to the Statue of Christ.

Is it possible to visit the Statue of Christ on the south bank of the Rio Tejo? If so, can it be reached by public transit from the Baixa? If so, could someone please post the directions here? Thank you.

Not 100% sure on the other side but there are many ferries across the river; the statue itself is atop a very big hill!

It's been a while since I went, but I doubt if much has changed.

Short ferry trip from Cais do Sodre to Cacilhas.

At Cacilhas there is a bus terminus, where there are frequent buses to Cristo Rei - only a few minutes journey, but don't try to walk!!
