Which location is best?

I've more or less narrowed by hotel search down. I've read all the reviews and come up with a short list.

I want to stay in and around either the Baixa or Barrio Alto areas.

So based on this which of these hotel locations would you consider the best?

Mundial Hotel

Fenix Lisboa Hotel

Marques De Pombal Hotel

Tivoli Jardim Hotel

Thanks in advance

Tivoli Jardim on my opinion which is just off Avenida Da Liberdade, the tube is not far and main sighst are within walking distance, Tivoli has just been refurbushed recently.

I hope this help.

Kind Regards

The area around the Mundial Hotel is dodgy at night. Not really dangerous but still, not the best, I would avoid it. The Fenix is located right on the Praça Marques de Pombal which is a big traffic choked roundabout and is not good for pedestrians.

So I would choose one of the other two.

Thanks for the replies.

I actually booked the Marques De Pombal in the meantime as I found a really good deal around €100 a room less than every other websites.

I got two rooms for €680(for both not per room)for four nights.

Proves it pays to spend time picking a short list and then spend even more time looking for the best price you can find.
