Lisbon for 4 days

Was thinking of going to Lisbon for 4 days at the end of September I still have havent researched anything as was last minute decision.

I'm wondering about what areas are nice to stay in and looking for a reasonably priced 3* hotel near all the tourist sights. What are the main tourist sights to see. As I have 4 days I was thinking of a day trip would like to see Porto but would that be too far to squeeze into the trip what is Sintra like?

Hopefully it will still be nice and sunny late Sept

Any tips and reccommendations would be appreciated

Porto is 3 hours by train from Lisbon, so you would spend about as much time travelling as you would being there on a day trip.

Sintra is easy to get to but a lot of the places on the tourist itinerary are very crowded even in September.

End September is still very warm. You don't want it to be 100F plus which is what it was last weekend!
