Chiado area

Alface, Cubsur, PMAL, and everyone:

Although it's a moot point it this juncture since we've booked a property for a stay, what can you tell me about the area around Rua das Chagas.

We've been to Lisboa a couple of times previous, but never stayed in that location.

Thanks for your postings. and keep up all the great work.

It's central! Very near Bica Lift and a stunning view point of Lisbon Miradouro de santa Catarina or Adamastor garden. Noobai Cafe is there ,too. Gorgeous view of Lisbon , the river and the bridge 25 de Abril. Very known for the lovely sunset. Turn to left at Rua Marechal Saldanha, the street nest to Bica Lift.

It's near Praça Luis de Camões, A Brasileira-famous cafe in Chiado, Bairro Alto Hotel and its stunning bar at the roof . <going up by Rua da Misericordia you 'll have another view point not to be missed- Miradouro São Pedro de Alcantara , next to another famour lift - elevador da Glória coming from Resaturadores.

It's also near Largo do Carmo and another famous spot- Santa Justa Lift and a stunning view of Lisbon.

It's near the São Carlos theatre- the Opera and if you can ride the tour of tram 28 which I recommend, you'll have several stops near . It's also near Bairro Alto with its bars restaurants, but go only by night.

If you to visit Cascais, just go down by Rua do Alecrim and you are in Cais do sodre station.

If you want to visit Sintra it's also near go down rua garret then Rua do Carmo, Rossio and the Train station it's there, next to Avenida Palace Hotel

It has a starbuck 's inside the station for a better reference, of course.

Don't miss the Castle, Belem, Parque das Nações.
