Lisbon in February 2014

Hi,

How is weather in mid - Febrary ?

I just got a fantastic offer from KLM - a week in Lisbon in February next year - at a irritating low price ;)

I am visiting Madrid in November, that February I have no plans - but staying at home in Norway

with lots of snow and minus 25 celsius is not particular funny...,,

Well it can be wet and windy in Lisbon in February but it certainly will be a lot warmer than Oslo!

Average daytime temperature in Lisbon in February is 14 - 16C, often warmer. Night-times 8 - 9C but can be 5 or 6C. But February is one of the wettest months of the year.

Go to Lisbon. You will enjoy a week away from the frozen north.

The trams. Came by boat from US back in 1901.

There had been horsecars from 1873, now they got shiny new electric from the States - americanos.

Are they still shiny and fresh?

Any who know which city they originate - should be on a sticker on them ....

The trams that exist nowadays are not americanos, even the old ones (like the famous #28). The americanos were horse-drawn. http://www.carris.pt/en/history/

We have visited Portuagl twice in early February and weather has been OK, not that different from what we have in Barcelona then . It will certainly be a lot better than northen Europe! Maybe we were lucky, but no rain when we were on or near the coast (we had torrential rain in Evora and area one day)

Sorry, I misunderstood, this the Portugese version of wikipedia on this matter:

-----

-----

This gives us the explaining of the yellow horse wagons, but 1995 must be some error. But the name of the manufacturers is OK ?

No, 1995 it's not wrong because it's refering to the new trams that do the route to Belém (tram #15) that are similar to the trams in Amsterdam (as an example). If you follow the link that I've sent you you'll have all the info about all the changes along the years.
